We are a Congregation of Brothers. We do not become Priests. This is a Congregation started in France about 300 years ago. Today it is spread in more than 34 countries. In India we have completed over 100 years of existence. We work mainly with the youth and the marginalised. The main apostolate is in the field of education. We also provide job oriented technical education to the youth, educate and rehabilitate disabled children, educate and rehabilitate street children and abandoned children, take care of the elderly, and are engaged in community and village development programmes. In India we have over 550 Brothers and 170 centres.

In the Northeast India we work in Assam, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland and Tripura. Together in these states we have 14 schools, one Printing press, one technical school, two schools for the disabled (blind & deaf), training school for the teachers of the deaf and blind.

The Vocation Promotion and Formation Commission is a body of the Province to propose ways and means to achieve these goals in the Province besides promoting Vocations to Brotherhood.
